Could not be a better location. Very close to Tintagel Castle and in the center of town. Staff went out of the way to find alternative choices for my gluten and dairy intolerant sister at breakfast. Big bonus that I could bring my dog.

I have been visiting Port Isaac for over 30 years.
I have been visiting Port Isaac for over 30 years. The sea is very attractive, but the village in general appeared tatty, dirty and not gardened. Some houses have expensive renovations, but are sitting empty! The business were similar, which put us off eating at them. The Golden Lion, is full of unchanged character & a good average meal / pint. The jetty fish shop is also good. The co-op is an asset.

Port Isaac is lovely, but access for anyone with walking problems is difficult. It is very steep and not really accessible by car. Parking is at least 20 minutes away.
The School House is a great place to eat.

Port Isaac is a glorious, historic fishing village in North Cornwall. On the harbour level, you'll find a higgledy-piggledy assortment of lanes packed with beautiful, picture-perfect cottages. Also on this level is the beach/harbour itself, a great pub and several tourist shops and restaurants that specialise in locally caught seafood (including Nathan Outlaw's fantastic restaurant).
On Port Isaac's top levels, you'll find shops and more independent restaurants.
It's a really atmospheric, special place, framed by the rugged Cornish coastline. However, be warned: it gets VERY busy in peak season (a nightmare for parking), so consider a stay during quieter times.

It's such a beautiful place to visit all year round.
It's such a beautiful place to visit all year round. Unfortunately, it happened to me to visit it in autumn but anyway, I enjoyed both visits. I believe in summertime it should be outstanding to be there. I would definitely recommend visiting it if you want an escape from the busy city. I would recommend you to visit the Newquay too. It's worth it.

A beautiful, peaceful village. Cornish people so lovely.
A beautiful, peaceful village. Cornish people so lovely. The village is isolated but depicts everything we know it for on the tv and movies (Doc Martin and Fishermen’s Friends). It does not disappoint. But there is much more. artists, nice eateries and gift shops. Also great history and sense of community. It is a relaxed pace to just chill. There are hills and cobblestones streets - but accessible for most. Take a walking tour to find out about history, movie making and life in the village. No access for cars so you must be able to walk everywhere. Do need to use buses or have a car if you wish to explore more of Cornwall. Transport is an issue. Do your research if you are train travellers. If touring then 1 full day and night in Port Isaac a must. Very safe. Loved it! There is a small Co-op. Suggest you take alcohol eg scotch with you if you feel like drink in your accommodation - as not a lot on offer. A range of restaurants. Such fresh seafood. If you have a self contained unit you can buy fresh and eat in. But restaurants offer seafood specials.

It is a beautiful fishing village with lots of good restaurants and shops. Picturesque! We enjoyed our tour of Doc Martin and seeing the scenes from Fishermen’s Friends movie. We would definitely come again but find a day trip would have covered it along with the terrific hike to Port Quinn.
This beachside country hotel oozes the old world charm we had hoped for. The qwerky décor is authentic with antiques ,brass and flint flag stone floors and so much more. Although small, our room had all we needed with luxury shampoos etc coffee machine, quality linen and comfy mattress. We ate dinner here which was pricy but delicious as was breakfast. The staff were friendly, chatty and delightful. Bustling Port Isaac is a 10 minute walk up hill.
The location, the view, and the property met and exceeded our expectations. The town is wonderful and the hotel puts you in the middle of it. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. Even on a chilly night it was great to crack the window and listen to the waves crashing in the bay. The staff was extremely friend and wonderful to talk with. Breakfast was included and was delicious. We had a wonderful experience at this hotel.
This cottage was perfect for our first trip to Cornwall. We loved Port Isaac (aka Port Wenn)! Location was perfect to walk around the village and see everything. Comfortable bedroom; we used the extra bedroom for luggage and had plenty of space. The kitchenette is nicely appointed and it was nice to have coffee, tea, biscuits and apple cider waiting for us :) Nice to have a heated towel rack in the bathroom :)
The hotel is exactly what you hope for when you plan to visit Cornwall. It is charming and well furnished. Our room was beautiful and had a gorgeous view. Everything was very comfortable and excellent quality. We had dinner the first night, and it was wonderful. (cheese souffle for the win!) The staff on our check-in day was friendly and warm. It's close to Port Isaac, and the private parking was a huge asset.
We had an excellent holiday at the Longcross Hotel, the staff, Jamie, Arnie & the rest of the team were so friendly, welcoming and worked really hard to ensure all guests had everything they needed despite covid restrictions.
Beautiful gardens to walk around. Good location for centre of Port Isaac and travelling around Cornwall.
Both breakfast & evening meals served in the restaurant are fabulous.
It was right near the harbour stunning views from the room.
Stayed in room 5 was lovely comfortable and shower was lovely and big enough not sure what jolly green giants visited from other people reviews I thought it was going to be cramped.
Breakfast was delicious although the guy is little strange maybe just a bit shy??
Fabulous location, stayed over Christmas and lovely treats left for us. So much more room than the photos show. Very warm with lots of added extras as in toiletries etc. Bedding so clean and comfortable and right in the heart of Port Isaac with no noise at all. Can't wait to go back. Also the outhouse is an added bonus.
Beautiful, right near the harbour. Very comfortable and warm , plenty of towels. Kitchen very well equipped. Everything we needed. Even supplied kitchen towels and cloths although we didn't use as had brought our own. Would definitely recommend this property.
Quiet, comfortable room in a family home. Plenty of closet, drawer, and under bed space. Good heat and hot water. Coffee, tea, and shortbread in the room. Friendly host with good communication. Good breakfast. Free parking. Near Port Isaac.
Fabulous location. Fair hotel overall, tasty breakfast. Reasonable level of decor and layout. Cleanliness not exceptional but ok. I'd say overall they are 'dog friendly'...not over the top about it but fine. Nice shampoo/shower gel stuff...
Zoe was very nice and went out of her way to accommodate our breakfast request.
The bed was very comfortable and the view was so peaceful, also close to Port Isaac which was helpful. I would stay here again!
it was right in the middle of everything. good location with a view of the harbour. breakfast was lovely. the staff we connected with were friendly, chatty and helpful. it was clean and comfortable
Excellent location in the heart of Port Isaac. Easy access to the coastal paths. A good selection of local shops. Quirky 'period' property. Seagulls were a reminder of proximity to the harbour!
Cute place! It was fun to see all the cows in the mornings. Nice quiet location not far from Port Isaac. Host was excellent and checked on us when we arrived.
